I'm very confused and a little worried. Looking to purchase this Plasma when realised on the samsung.co.uk website the Model doesn't exist, not only that if you go to support and type in the model number it also doesn't exist. Is this model THAT old that the company don't even offer any support for this model. What will happen when the new model comes out in August? will the support and information disappear a week later?

    This is ridiculous, please help.

The model doesn't appear on the website probably because its new and they haven't updated the website yet. Like other products, it comes with a warranty card, a registration card, and a list of authorised service centres, although if I remember rightly the company i bought it from (Electrical Discount) said they send their own engineers out if anything goes wrong.

It does exist and its brand new. If you look carefully you will see the samsung website has the s4 and s3 on it. The reason it's not on the website is down probably to incompetance. Samsung seem terrible at advertising and distribution.

It's also in the English 2005 product brochure which you will find linked on the big Samsung thread.

The Samsung UK website is totally out of date and has been for months. For better information try the dutch website - http://www.samsung.com/nl

I know it's in Dutch but if you look araound you can get the English versions of all the manuals.

Many thanks you guys, basically their website is a pile of .....! One question though that i haven't worked out yet.....What's the Catch???

It seems that the spec either matches or beats the Panny PV500, so why are people still going for the PV500 over this one?

The S5H has a horizontal resolution over 720 (768) and has an HDMI connection, according to the brochure. Anecdotally, (from reading other posts on this forum) it accepts HDCP content and will work at 720p50 & 1080i50.
