All for under £1000 including all ikea units, had the Q-Acoustics a couple of days but very impressed with the improvement in sound. Pretty pleased with the setup in a very small space and on a limited budget.

We all start somewhere and my first setup (stereo) was a dog so you should be proud of that...looks nice and tidy..

You have done well there mate, very frugal!

do you have any isolation between your cabinet and speakers?

If you can pull the speakers to the front of the unit. I tried this with some speakers on a desk and it was quite a difference (a little bit of blue-tac may also help, I cut up some black foam from a mouse mat to put under the speakers)
