    Hi guys,

I'm looking for some new speakers to plug into my Pioneer VSXC502 av receiver and drive the home cinema thingy.

I don't want "designer" but I want as small as I can get and still use the 100w amp power rating to its full potential.

Won't be listening to dedicated music - only tv and dvds.

The surround speakers will come out when needed and then be put back behind the plasma when not (to appease the wifey).

Any suggestions of model and vendor?

    ta muchly,
    Sword

jvc spx100 kit can be had for under a hundred quid...

use this day-day with dsp-a2, and then use the kef's when the kids are in bed!

Tej - budget would be.... well, I dunno - depends on incramental benefits - and by that I don't mean designed by Julio Expensivaris, lol.

Tony - sounds good, but I'm a relative novice here still so haven't a clue :)

In my mind's eye, I'd imagined something small and round or the sort of thing that you wouldn't even notice or recognise as a speaker if it were on a bookshelf to the left of the TV etc etc...

kind of the opposite of "silent but deadly"!

How about the Kef KHT-1005's? These can be had brand new for around £300.

But tbh without a firm guide on price, it's difficult to focus recommendations.
