Hi everyone.

I am looking to change my Plasma screen for a projector.
In my old house I had a Seleco 350 CRT hanging from the roof and loved it.

Now I see the new range of HD projectors and would like that big screen feeling back again.

My problem is the throw is going to be around 2.2m and I would like a screen between 64" to 72" (bigger the better).

Must be 720p minimum. (3D is a maybe, not to fussed about it)

It is going to be used for movies and games.

Any ideas or recommendations are most welcome.

All the best and thanks for looking.

Alan

I have the Optoma GT750, 3D capability, 720p, and I get a 120" picture from about 7 1/2 feet.

That sounds like the kind of projector I need. Can you resize the image from the lens or must you move the projector.

There is a zoom function in the settings, but only for making the picture smaller, there is also a vertical shift function.

No mechanical zoom so you need to place the pj closer or further from the screen to vary the image size.

Thank you, that may be a limiting factor for me.

Taking a good look at the Epson 2900,3000 and 3200.

I think they will all do what I want (just about)
