when you are transfering from the HD to -R can you still use the tuner?

I ask because I currently loop sky+ through my DVDR

Also is it possible to transfer back from -RAM to the HD using the HS2? I don't think you can

When I'm dubbing from HD to DVD-R (as I am at the mo - Miracle of 34th Street for my neice), The HS2 output will ONLY show what's being dubbed. However, I've only got the HS2 connected to Sky+ via Scart, so don;t use the tuner itself...

For Q2, you can copy back from RAM to the HDD, and I think at high speed too.... I've only done this once so far so cannot recall the speed setting :)

You can transfer to and from ram as much as you want, using high speed if at the same quality setting. You can't transfer from -r to the hard drive though due to copyright issues.

You can't view anything via the hs2 whilst dubbing, except the dubbing itself, not even sky, hence you need a second connection from sky to the tv for use during this situation and for when the hs2 is recording from its analogue tuner and you want to view sky.

Well I have an s-video connection too (for sky+) so it is not a major issue

High speed? I thought you could only do this on the E100

Is this high speed only for RAM?
