Very faint subwoofer hum

Hi,

When my home cinema system is off I can hear a very slight hum from my subwoofer. It is very faint but it's there.

If i switch the sub to standby it's still there and if I disconnect the cable from my amp it's still there.

I've tried a tacima mains conditioner and it made no difference

Does anyone have any ideas or is it just one of those things?

Thanks

Mike

If it's still there when your sub is in standby, then the subs amp should be disconnected from the driver at this point. This narrows it down to a bit of mechanical mains transformer hum, which is not unusual. Sometimes mains cleaners help, but it is something you either feel you get used to, or get it looked at.
If it's not too annoying I'd forget it.
