    They'll never honour it surely?

Gone for one at this price. Been wanting a cube for a while and this is a complete bargain.

Well I was going to buy the game as a present for a family member anyway so if I get an extra gamecube out of it, all the better!

Excellent find, just hope it comes through. I'm having doubts as it's no longer available on other sites.

Have already ordered and have screen prints ready, I'm up for a fight :)

Woolies have sent cancellation emails, so we'll have to wait and see what action Tesco and Virgin take.

Has anyone got the speil about trading laws and such? As Tesco sent me an email telling me they won't fulfill their order, despite receiving an email to the contrary, and them accepting my payment.

If you go into a shop and see something advertised for a price, they have to fulfill the obligation. I don't see how this can be any different.

I think you will find that is a bit of a myth.
The advertised price is just an “invitation to a treat” and as such the retailer is not obliged to sell you any goods at any nominated price.

If they've actually taken payment, then IMHO you have a binding contract.

If they've sent an email 'accepting' your offer, then this will only stand IF their terms & conditions don't give them a way out. Most websites do these days, and I'd be amazed if Tescos didn't get that right.

    It says this on their website under the Help section;

"If the price increases or decreases after you have placed your order but before dispatch (and debiting your credit card) the ordered price will be honoured."

When I looked yesterday the price had gone up to £109.99, but the above means they should honour the £33.00 odd price surely?

Oops also says the following on terms and conditions, the Tesco website contradicts itself really!

    1. Prices
The prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out in the web site. If, by mistake, we have under-priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned. All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated. The price of the items does not include the delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable at the date you place your order and which will be displayed in the 'Help' section of the web site. Where items are ordered pre-release, an estimated retail price will be given, in which case the price charged may be different, as the order may have been placed as much as three months prior to release.

If they took the money you have a contract and they should supply the goods. That said Tescos are well known for there hard stance on this sort of thing

    It is consistent berserkgoose.

If the price changes, i.e. the ACTUAL cost of the goods has changed, they will honour the price.

If a mistake has been made, they will amend the price.

It's not worded that well, but it is consistent and Tescos do have the get out they need to not honour this price.

Everyone knows this was on Watchdog on the BBC this week right ? They are the ones to thank for you getting it at the cheap price

Really pleased to see you got it at the price advertised from Tescos. They are exceptionally arogant and unwilling to make good there mistakes when this sort of thing happens normally. I took a great deal of satisfaction in their taking a dressing down on national TV and having to do the right thing
