    Hi,

Brought to my attention earlier that currys have the odd/cute looking LG CE20J3RX for a mere £99. Pricerunner lists the nearest best price as £176 so it really looks like a nice cheap and cheerful set for the bedroom, kids' room or garden shed.

I'm going looking tonight and might just pick it up to replace my aging 14" bedroom set.

    Or will I regret it????

    Spec from LG site

Imaccy / tacky and placcy - here's what it looks like

You can get a Proline 20" with Text for the same (Comet's Own Brand).... it has a decent Samsung Tube with surprisingly good geometry etc. RGB SCART (NTSC and PAL capable).

Oh and it doesn't look anywhere near as cheap and tacky!;)

What do you mean "with Text"? Both have teletext?

Well I went to Currys Barnsley and they have none in stock so a trip to Rotherham may be in order.

I'm looking to replace my aging Sony 14" which has been brilliant until recently when nothing happened when I hit the power button.

I understand Sony's LED's indicate what the fault may be - so I'll have a look online and see if I can find out what's wrong. Possibly a fuse or something simple.

    Thanks for the replies!
