kfccinema have posted complete specs for the forthcoming R1 releases of Versus from Media Blasters.

Heard alot about the film......might just get it...shame it hasn't got the tin box like the german R2 release!!!
 
looking at those specs, it appears there's only DTS audio on any of the versions. If that's true there's a lot of people out there that wouldn't be able to watch this
 
i thought all discs had to have some form of Dolby encoded sound as it is part of the DVD tech spec?


Can anyone clear this up?

don't there's any mandatory requirement to carry a Dolby soundtrack, there are several R1 discs (Jaws) that appear to have DTS only (and I would imagine some Jap R2s as well) although I think you can usually buy a seperate Dolby version as well.
 
As far as I know it is mandatory to have a Dolby track, but it doesn't have to be 5.1. Jaws DTS for example has a Dolby 2.0 track.
