Venetian Blinds

In the process of buying some venetian blinds. These are going to be fitted into UVPC window frames. Any ideas how to fix them ( they come with the bulk standard venetian blind fittment that you get with Hilarys blinds ). What drill bit to use or just make a slight mark/hole and then power screw the fittment to the window frame :)

Most UPVC frames come with either an aluminium or steel box section within the frame.

To fix to them you need to drill a pilot hole through both the plastic and the inner box setion and use self tapping screws.

The drill/screw size will depend on the blind.

If the blind is going into a window recess you might find it better to fix the blind to the top of the recess rather than the window frame. I think that blinds look better when almost flush with the surrounding inside wall, and they don't foul the window handles then either.
