    Hi

Having a projector (Pansonic AE500) and not suffering from the dreaded VB I was wondering if there was anything that possibly could cause it, at the moment I currently use my projector on a table and pack it up every night after it properly cools down. I am planning on converting my garage into a proper HC in the new year, and mounting the PJ on the ceiling. From I can tell is that most people that suffer from VB is that there PJ's are mounted on the ceiling permantly (let's face it, you'd have to be crazy to set it up every time).

Is this true? I don't mind having to spend 2 minutes each time setting up the PJ, but if mounting it on the ceiling is highlighting the VB problem I'd rather not do it.

For what it's worth, I don't think VB has anything whatsoever to do with the orientation of the projector - it's down to the LCD panels.

    Hi Theritz

I tend to agree with you, but I'm just trying to rule out any other factors.

I set my 500e up each time I use it (take 2 mins) and use the coffee table, no sign of VB as yet and it has done 86 hours
