The first few deliveries are only just getting through to UK owners, but we haven't had any direct feedback to this forum, yet, unfortunately.

The avsforum.com site has a few threads about the Vantage. Ironically, one of the first people to post was rdjam, a Brit! All impressions so far have been very positive, a few minor bugs as you might expect, but there seems to be a fix on it's way already.

There have been two principal concerns about the VHD. Firstly, Calibre are unproven in the AV market, and may need more experience before their products are reliable and easy to use. Secondly, the VHD does not have the great flexibility of the current Lumagen, DVDO and Pixel Magic products with regard to customisation and adjustment, which many believe necessary to realise the best performance from a VP, or even to get it to work at all.

It's too early to form any conclusions, especially as the Crystalliio 2 is yet to be delivered, but it's looking promising. We haven't had many useful comparitive reviews so far, but I'm hoping that X3ELS may be able to give us some impressions soon.

    regards, Nick
