I've just received my Vandamme components I've bought through Ebay, and I've got what is probably a bit of a silly beginner question.

I was under the impression that component cables are of the Green, Blue, Red socket colours. Yet the ones I've received are Red, White, Black.

I'm guessing that it doesn't really matter (if that's the case, which is green and blue, white or black?), but I just want to make sure.

Hmm sounds like you have been sent standard composite and phono cables (which are cheap/poor quality in comparison to component)- got pics?

What part number is printed on each cable?

The 'Plasma Grade' 75 Ohm comes in five colours:

    268-306-000 Black
    268-307-020 Red
    268-308-050 Green
    268-309-060 Blue
    268-310-090 Cream

    Best regards

    Joe

PS If you'd bought them from a supplier who Advertises on the AVForums who recommends them you would have received one each of Red, Green and Blue to avoid any 'complications' :)

    Hey, thanks for your reply.

All of my three cables are the 268-310-090 of the Cream variety.

So just to clarify, am I alright with those cables?

I dont thin I bought them from a supplier that advertises here, but rather a recommendation in one of the threads on cheap components linked me to an Ebay seller.

    Thanks for your help Joe.

    Hello GafferTape

Yes you can use these cables for YUV no matter which cable you use it'll be happy carrying a Red, Green or Blue video signal :)

    Best regards

    Joe
