Just wondering how many of you guys have this problem again? anyone else contacted Sony and actually got a sensible reply, rather than the std "we are aware of the problem, and will inform you when its rectified" as if we wouldn't notice!

I have been searching, and found nothing about this current problem, plenty from the last time in December 2014, not even on the Sony forum, have people just given up?

Sorry, I don't own a Sony receiver or have this issue, but it appears that Sony only bought low level vTuner access from vTuner which means some aspects of that service are not accessible from Sony products.

    Sony posted this in February:

    Sony Support

Since then the issue has simply escalated. There are numerous 40 page topics on Sony's own forums complaining about the issue which is effecting every single Sony device purporting to include internet radio. It now appears that no vTuner service at all is available via any Sony device.

I'm afraid its a case of if you want internet radio forget about using a Sony receiver to access it. This issue is isolated to Sony products and is not effecting any other manufacturer.

To tell you the truth, it looks suspiciously like Sony haven't paid their subs to vTuner?????

Here's a post from one ogf the threads:

Thanks! I was kind of hoping that others here had got more insight into whats going to happen, if its a case of V tuner is never going to work again on my receiver, I wonder just where I stand legally, as the receiver was advertised as having built in V tuner access, so surely its tantamount to the item no longer being fit for its full purpose? so unless Sony have written in a get out clause somewhere, they could be in for an expensive time.

Have you got a link to the current Sony forum discussion on this? all I could find was the posts from November last year when v tuner went missing the first time.

Edit, Sorry missed your link, thanks again.

The link I gave above is I believe the most current.

Sony aren't exactly forthcoming on what is happening so I can't speculate on whether or not the current situation is permanent or not?
