hi just had v+ installed everything ok.But does any one know what the scart lead the engineer put in is for. got it running on hd lead so why do you need it. i have taken it out and it seems to make no difference. trying to hide the wires so the less in the better. thanks
You can safely remove the SCART lead once the installation is complete. The box is set to output via the SCART output prior to the installation and the installer used it to view the menus prior to altering the settings for HDMI output.
Just for the record, they ship with scart active. You have to have a scart lead to see the setup menu to change to HDMI. After that it can be removed as already mentioned.
