I've noticed a lot of retailers are starting to place emphasis on x16 -R media. Has anyone used these dvds with the SX34 successfully, & if so which ones would you recommended? On a similar subject, what is the fastest -RW media that have successfully been used with the Toshiba machine?

Worked just fine with Datawrite Titanium Grey at 16x.

That was using rate convert. Will test it on high speed later!

Thanks for the feedback CLH - would be interested to hear whether the high speed dubbing works out ok, since I rarely use the rate conversion due to it taking so long. Incidentally, are there any manufacturers discs you've had a lot of trouble with?

The Datawrite 16x and Verbatim 8x are both working well both on high speed and on rate conversion.

The only coasters I've had (and I've recently had a few) have been the Ritek GO4 film disc, the ones that look like cinema reels.
