I have a Sony Vaio laptop with both analogue sound built in (in the form of built in speakers and a headphone jack) and digital sound which is sent to the docking station it sits on (in the form of an optical output and a built in amp that can drive special vaio external Sony speakers)
Basically, I end up with both "Realtek High Definition Audio -Speakers" and "Realtek High Definition Audio - Digital Output" audio playback devices.
I use the analogue out for Logitech speakers at the moment but would also like to use the Sony speakers simultaneously without having to change the device.
At the moment, I have to change the default audio device to the one i want to use then open, for example, media player, and the sound will come out of the respective speakers, but I cant get them both to work at the same time! To change I have to close the program, change the device then re-open it.
Any ideas? Thanks!
