using the pcie power socket on a motherboard.

Hi

I just picked up a gigabyte x99 5p gaming motherboard.

i noticed it has a socket for giving extra power to the pcie for when using multiple GPUs

I only ever plan of maybe 2 way SLI. can anyone comment on whether it will be a problem NOT using this power? the reason i ask is because

blocket pcie power

how on earth am i going to plug it in. Case is brand new (maybe with hind site a poor choice)

also as an extra worry this motherboard has a requirment 3, yes 3! 8 pin power plugs to supplement the 24 pin if overclocking........... I really hope i can get away with "just" the 1. overclockers.co.uk said it will be fine. (at the time I forgot to ask about the pcie plug)
