I'm currently using subwoofer cable between my Denon 3803 and my sub.
Is it reccomended that you should use a short piece of subwoofer cable between your SACD (or HTPC), and the EXT IN connection on the receiver.

    Cheers

I just use a normal phono type cable from dvdp to amp (as with all the other channels). I don't know whether a specific subwoofer cable would work better though.

Using subwoofer cable from the amp to the sub, i notice the bass seemed smoother and more integrated.

I was hoping to improve this effect.

    Does anyone know?
