Hi ive a stainless kitchen extractor FAN AND. IT HAS 2X HALOGEN SPOTS IN IN DOES ANYONE KNOW IF USING PHILIPS HUE COLOURED LANPS WILL BE OK IF I USE FIRE RATED
GLASS SURROUNDS

I can think of several reasons that it might not be OK but it very much depends on the hood and what's fitted now.

Are the existing lights mains voltage GU10 fitments or something else, my Bosch hood uses 12v fittings which won't work with a hue.

Do the existing lights either fade up and down when switched and/or have a dimmer built in to the hob, a soft start circuit or dimmer also won't work with hue bulbs.

HI Jamie
im a spark they are 12v halogen so somewhere in the unit must be a transformer which I could bypass to give me 240v to my hues I was just worried about if the hue lamps will fail if get too hot being on top of a oven I was going to use ip65/firerated covers?
