    Hi,

I gather that the NDS Videoguard has been emulated by the 'Dragon CAM' which can be plugged into most standard digital satellite boxes (you still need a valid Sky card and the number of the digibox it's paired to, to use it).

Does anyone here have any experiences of using a third party box and this CAM to receive Sky? I'm thinking about it as an alternative to Sky+. There certainly seems to be some innovative hardware out there like the 'Dreambox' which I would love to be able to use.

Yes you can. Dreambox or Triple Dragon + a valid $ky card and you can view whatever the card is good for.

You can use a standard dreambox 500S and a SOFTWARE cam to decode sky using your legal official card.
No need to go buy expensive cams when you can download a software cam.
Good thing about these types of cam is they can be switched with the remote control to view whatever you like.
I have had my card running on the dreambox 500S for a week or so now and iam very impressed, the only thing i miss is the EPG.
But its a fair trade off considering i have 2 satalites conected to the dreambox.

Buying the Dragon Cam can be a risk, because it can only emulate the current encryption, which could be changed by Sky at any time. I'm aware that there's nothing illegal in the Dragon Cam, but it is not the entire solution.

There's a plugin to get sky EPG on a dreambox.
