Ok so looking ahead in my cinema room project I am trying to decide the best way to connect all my 'gear'. I have a single large room which is split into 2 via a partition, on the one side I have the regular lounge with TV and 5.1 setup and on the other side will be my cinema setup.
In the living room I currently have an 8200AP along with my Oppo 103, PS3, Xbox 360 and a separate power amp. On the other side of the wall I will have several amps for the speakers in the cinema room and a projector.
Now would I be better off purchasing another processor and then using 'splitters' (not really looked into these) for the HDMI devices or perhaps a different AV receiver altogether with multiple HDMI outputs that way I can feed an output to the projector and perhaps use an RCA wall plate for pre-outs to the amps in the cinema room?
Not wanting to confuse matters but I was considering doing away with the 8200AP and separate amp setup in the living room and then if possible using a decent AV receiver have it's internal amps drive the lounge speakers and then use it's pre-outs in a fashion mentioned above for the cinema room amps.
