    Hey guys

wonder if someone can help me please?

Im after buying a 32" LCD TV,the model I'm after has a DVI-I socket on it(NO VGA),which can be used for HDTV(when it arrives,or so im told) and also to use the screen as a PC monitor......I have a laptop, the laptop only has a VGA socket on it,can I connect the 2 via this method?so it will be VGA to DVI and is it a case of just plugging one end into lappy, other into LCD and select PC on LCD remote or is there more to it than that?

also any tips on where to get such a lead/adapter too please

    thanks guys

    Just don't buy that LCD...

It has 0 of the connections you need now, and you need in the future

    now:
VGA => lacking, which is present at about every other set

    future:
    HDMI

DVI-I is only a step in between, and is kept in order to be compatible with current appliances, but will be replaced by hdmi in the future
