    Hi,

I recently got a Gigabyte GA-8I915P Duo Pro for my HTPC.

It includes Intel High Definition Audio using a C-Media 9880 audio codec, everything appears to be working OK but I am curious about its high sample rates and bit depths. i.e. 24bit 96kHz and 24bit 192kHz.

Using the latest driver release I am able to set the SPDIF output to 96kHz but I am unaware of any way to set any of its other sample rate and bit depth features.
Such as how do you choose between 16, 20 and 24bit input or output
and how do you set the sample rate for the ADCs and DACs.

I am guessing these features are either not implemented yet or I need some other software program to drive them.

I have asked Gigabyte this same question but they are taking there time giving me an answer, two weeks so far.

Before I drag an audio test set home from work, does anyone know how to use the high sample rate features of this codec?

    Cheers
    Paul
