Hi all
Apologies I'm not very AV literate and am hoping one of you very kind people will be able to help me. I have a very old Philips LCD TV (model 42PF5421) that I bought in 2007 which I wish to replace with a Samsung UE48JU6400. My existing TV is wall mounted above the fire place and has the bracket connected like so:

The question I have is would I be able to unscrew the fittings from my existing TV and screw it onto the Samsung? If not can I replace just the TV side bracket without having to touch the part bolted on the wall?

I'm not a very confident DIY'er so would rather not replace the entire bracket set including what has been fitted to the wall if possible.

Any feedback greatly appreciated!

You should be fine, just ensure the bolts you use are the correct length for the new TV, from reading the manual its from 13.8mm to 21.4mm.
