Please refrain from shooting me down in flames if this topic has been covered exhaustively...i'm new.

I currently have a pc (not a constable) in bedroom but no tv.

Problem is the wife now wants a telly(not savalas).

There is not enough room for both..

    The research began in earnest.....

    Do I replace my 15 inch lcd monitor(4:3) for a 17 inch lcd tv(16:9)

Are lcd tvs/monitors basically the same with the exception of tuners/styling?

Does anyone have a philips 17pf9946?
Progressive scan and high def sound interesting.
Also this is about the right price mark £450.

The spec of the philips seems to meet all my needs or should I go down another route?

Why is there so much choice?

Indecision seems to be my middle name..

    Any suggestions are appreciated.. :lease:
