Hi all, I’m hoping someone can help.

I recently purchased an Echo Studio to replace a very old Panasonic surround sound system.

I was hoping to use the echo studio as a soundbar, however I’m having a little issue with sound from my SKY+ HD box.

here’s how I have it setup:

I have a fire Tv, Xbox one and Sky hd box all plugged into myTV via HDMI and a optical mini toslink cable going from tv to the input of the Echo Studio.

sound seems to work fine from Xbox and fire tv, but every now and then when watching sky tv the sound starts crackling.

is there anyone who has their echo studio setup in a similar way or has experienced any issues similar to this?

thanks in advance for your help.

Cheap toslink cable can have excessive jitter, if the DAC (in this case Sky Box) doesn't like it, issues like crackling can occurs. Try to replace the toslink cable.. if nothing is improved then it's the Skybox..

Are you use a single echo studio as a soundbar? What is the sound quality like if you don't mind me asking, I'm thinking of kne of these to replace my soundbar.
