Using a Sky Q remote with an HiFi amplifier - Audiolab 6000A

Novice Member
I thought it might be useful to those who want to hear their Sky Q TV sound via a HiFi system, and have control over the volume through the Sky Q remote, to know which 'setup' worked for me.

I have an Audiolab 6000A amplifier, connected to the TV through an optical-digital connection and I have connected to the Sky Q remote by running though the offered settings for an unknown brand (the Auidiolab devices are not listed on the Sky Q setup). Eventually, setup number 12 gave me control of the volume through the Sky Q remote. However, the mute button on the Sky Q remote doesn't work.

For those who are unsure hopw to do this, press the home button to get the Sky home page. Pan down to Settings (select this) and then pan-down to Setup (select this), pan down to Remote control and choose the remote control you own. Enter Audiolab to eventually get to an unknown brand and run through the various setups until one goives control of the volume - it should be number 12.
