My partner is going to Brazil (110v supply) and is taking her portable dvd player with her. Will this work when plugged in or is there not going to be enough power? Will the battery charge at all?
Any tip please as i really have not got a clue.

Have a look at the power supply and see what its input voltage is. Many nowadays have a range of something like 100-240V and 50/60Hz so will work fine on 110V.

If it doesn't specify it then it may still work, it's worth trying. You will of course need an adaptor for the plug. You can also buy a step up transformer, you will need to check the power rating however.

    regards
