    Hi,

I'm new to camcorders and I am looking for advice on using a camcorder in the US.

I want to use one for a family holiday this summer and I am worried at how I can charge the batteries because of the different voltage supply. A friend offered me the lend of their camcorder, and I want to know if it is possible to purchase a different charger working off the American supply?

I may decide to purchase a new one, and I was looking for advice on which format to go for - I don't intend to use it with a PC.

I may buy while I am in the US if I can find one suitable for PAL playback.

Thanks for your help in advance...

My camcorder charges the battery on the unit, but will work on most voltages (ie 240v - uk & 110v - USA). All you need is a plug converter to convert from a UK 3 pin plug to the American 2 pin plug.
Check the manual or online for details of the camcorder you will be useing.

    Mark.
