USB / KWM Switch - Home Desktop & Work Laptop Via Docking Station

Hello all,

Hoping you can help me, i've done a search and found 2 threads that helped and hoping this will just confirm what i am looking at

I have a home desktop PC, and a work laptop connected to a docking station.

I would like them both to use the two monitors i have, which i believe i can do just using the multiple ports on my desktop and on the docking station so there shouldn't be any issues there, can someone please confirm?

But i'd like to use the same keyboard and mouse and just switch between the two. I am assuming this will work but wanted to check as the laptop is through a docking station

Would this fit my needs?

Unfortunately i cannot remote desktop or virtual machine due to encryption and security on the work laptop so i require to go down the switch route

Thanks in advance

Gary

Have a look at Synergy (software) I use that in a similar situation and I am fairly certain that my work laptop is encrypted.
Added bonus is that I can copy and paste from one machine to another

It would help if you confirmed what two products you are going to connect to the KM switch just to be sure what ports you have on them.
