USB HDD Recording

Before I waste my money buying a Usb hdd to use with my new panasonic tv and blu ray dvd does any one know if I can record programs from SKY using the TV record facility? Can't see any other use for a usb hdd if I can't

What TV do you have ?

It's very likely that you'll only be able to record programs from the TV's inbuilt tuners - I doubt you'll be able to record Sky programs via the TV's USB socket.
