USB HD-DVD & Blu-Ray Drives?

Is it possible to mount an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray drive in an external USB2 enclosure and then connect it to a PC to watch hi-def films? Or, to put it another way, does an HD-DVD / Blu-Ray drive need to be internal in order to use it for watching movies? I believe that the X-box 360 drive can be used in this way, but what about other drives?

Some drives are being released but not sure about a separate enclosure.

hi, i am sure it is.

just buy a sata external enclosue for a dvd drive and put the hd dvd/blu-ray in there.
