I'm after a c. 320gb USB (or firewire or ethernet, I guess) to use for storing music on - mainly FLAC files. Want something that's not too noisy, reliable, and of course cheap and small are both good too :D Any suggestions?

Anything that capacity and above will require external power as they are 3.5" dreives inside. That will cause some noise.

How about 400GB Buffalo or Freecom for £99.99.

    400GB Freecom USB

    400GB Buffalo USB

    These are also good.

    320 Western Digital USB

They won't be that small as small USB powered requires a laptop drive inside and they only go up to 120GB or 160GB in externals.

thanks - will have a look at these.

400gb already - they keep getting bigger :D Actually, tempting to wait till my drive is full before ordering another one - I'm guessing drives will just keep bigger and cheaper...
