USA HD-DVD Player Question

Hi All,

I was thinking of buying a HD - DVD for my 360 in Florida. Are they region free and will it plug straight in the USB like a UK player.

You can import a drive from the US or Asia as the power supply is compatible (but you need a figure of eight lead (3 amp fuse)http://www.stuff-for-computers.co.uk/acatalog/cabket.jpg. Well used importers include www.movietyme.com and www.play-asia.com

Consideration of importing can be warranty validity and cost.

all hd-dvd's are also region free

i got one from www.movietyme.com and just changed the us plug for a uk plug, and it is region free.

yes thats it the power supply for the hd-dvd drive can cope with US and uk electricity you just need the correct lead with prefably a 3amp fuse

Since I still have SDTV (PAL only) will it play HD-DVD disc purchases in USA?

I could always connect it to PC monitor which supports both PAL/NTSC. Am I right?

as said in a previous post all hd-dvds are region free, but there isnt much point in using the hd dvd drive on a sdtv
