Just seen on thedigitalbits.com that R1 BTTF has no DTS track, coz of the extra 30mins of features. Bob Gale said he could hear no difference between the two (DD &DTS) tracks.

Shame, coz I can, and the DTS sounds better.

R2 and R1 are supposed to have identical specs though, so the R2 should have DTS as well. If it does not, then it can only be because the R2 is identical to the R4.

Forgive me for being a bit dim but how can you hear the difference between the DD and DTS track if it hasn't got a DTS track

Presumably Bob Gale was listening to the DD and DTS mixes on the R4 release (it has DTS). :)

Sorry mate, I just re-read that and see that I got it the wrong way round! :(

    It shoud read:

R2 and R1 are supposed to have identical specs though, so the R2 won't have DTS either. If it does, then it can only be because the R2 is identical to the R4.

If so, this would explain why the R4 I received today says it is dual-encoded for R4 and R2. In which case, if you want to sacrifice the extras for the DTS, then you may as well get the R4 from CD-WOW.com for £17.99 and save yourself a few quid :)

Sorry again - it's been a long day :( And I've just proved to myself just how long a day it's been by dropping my cigarette into my glass of Pepsi :(

Thanks mate - that makes more sense :).

R4 it is then. £17.99 seems rediculously cheap though .

Nice to see some people still prefer the much superior Pepsi over Coke......or is it just because of the new Britney Spears advert ;).

I got it for £16.99 'cause I pre-ordered it during their £1 off promotion
It's Pepsi Max actually. I find regular Pepsi too sweet :)

I think Coke tastes like dish water in this country. But in mainland Europe it tastes better. Particularly "Coke Light", which is far superior to the "Diet Coke" crap we get here.

R4 version has the DTS track.

    Hope this clears things up.

I seem to recall getting some in Canada when I was there :) Very odd that they don't do Pepsi Max in the US though isn't it. I would've gone for Coke Light in Canada otherwise. I need one or the other or I get withdrawals too :D I once gave up all fizzy drinks for 2 weeks just to see if I could do it - it was sheer hell :( and I ended up switching to those Barley Juice Mixes. :D I drink water when I'm really thirsty, but I like a nice taste in my mouth at other times of the day. :)

Perhaps Lex should report himself for hijacking this thread:devil: :clown:
Pepsi Max was reported to be a sperm reducer, so I hope you guys aren't desperate to have children with a sexy lady friend any time soon:eek:
So what 30 mins are suppose to be missing?
I think I saw the first one at the pictures, fond memories.

There's more than 30 mins extra on the R1. I guess the extra commentaries weren't included in that figure.

The following are supposed to be exclusive to R1:

Commentary by Writer/Producer Bob Gale and Neil Canton
    Trilogy Documentary
    'Vintage' Making Of
Q&A Session with Robert Zemeckis at the USC film school
    Radio Spots
    Additional Deleted Scenes

The R4 supposedly has only one commentary which is by Writer/Director Robert Zemeckis & Writer/Producer Bob Gale (a recorded University interview session with disc extras producer Laurent Bouzereau)

I think there is supposed to be a Michael J Fox commentary that is only available on R1 as well?????

Will R2 be the same as R1 or will it be the same as R4..... stay tuned folks :D

Apparently, this Michael J Fox commentary is only an extra 10-20 mins inserted into the main commentary track

The more I read about the extras that I'm missing on the R4, the more I'm glad I stuck with the R4.
