Anybody know of any US forums for DVD bargains. I'm currently in the US and thought I'd take advantage of some cheap region 1 DVD bargains.

    thanks

Thought they'd be cheap enough on the highstreet there already?

If you come across any, post - in the US myself in January :)

USA high street prices are pretty much the same as they are over here, especially in places like Choices and Virgin.

If you shop around and go to the right places, though, there are bargains to be had.

Beat Buy is a great shop, it has a great selection of dvd's with most top selling titles at $19.99 which can work out at about £12ish depending on the exchange rate. the big stores like Walmart, K-mart and Target are also well worth looking into. They do most of the top titles for $19.99 but they also do promotions and sell some new releases for 14 or 15 dollars. I was in Florida a week ago and picked up 'Pirates of...' and 'Bad boys 2' for $14 each which is quite good. All these stores also have a lot of bargain stands which are worth checking out.

    Hope this helps, happy shopping:D

    Rediffusion,

I strongly recommend u to buy your local Sunday paper. It regularly comes with store flyers and you may find very good deals on DVD.

Stores u should check out for hot deals including:
    1) Fry's Electronics (West Coast)
    2) Circuit City,
    3) Bestbuy.

    Stores for always low price:
    1) Walmart,
    2) Target.

If u plan to be in the States for a while, Costco (with $45 membership) always has awesome deals.

E.g. You may get Indy Box Set for USD25* :rotfl: linky
    * credit goes to Blade and matics. :lesson:

Also, don't forget to bookmark above link from Geezer:
    1) Hot Deals and
    2) DVD Bargains.

    Happy shopping :D

If you want to use Costco. They have stores in the UK as well (just not very many). But membership is valid worldwide.
