I have just bought a Pioneer PDP-424MV 42" plasma screen, and need to get this set up to use as a TV in the UK.

Can anyone offer advice as to what I need to do - I know that I will probably need a power cable coverter and do something about the NTSC to PAL conversion, and also that the screen may need something to be able to accept TV input.

I do have Sky which I understand my be able to be used for the TV signal.

Can anyone offer advice or guide me through this minefield

    Thanks

    Jenny

You need to get a power converter to bring it up to 220. Make sure you buy one that is rated for enough watts for the tv. It should say on the back or the power plug. This is the site i ordered one for my NTSC xbox 360 when i was living in Canada before i came here. http://www.voltageconverters.com/step_down_voltage_transformers.html

TV's here run on a different frequency. I believe it is 50 hertz. So make sure your tv does 50/60 Hertz which it should.
