A: depends what region your ps3 is
B: plenty of places to import have a good look through the forum
C: at the moment there is no region protection on games so yes imports will work.

    hope this helps

Some of the gaming shops do BR for that kind of price already.. there's a bit of a mini price war going on it seems. Picked up layer cake in gamestation for £12 yesterday.

HMV are above it all and asking £35 a film.

Of course you can get DVDs in Asda for £3 a pop so BR has a way to go to catch up - but it's below the impulse buy cost already.

Goodfellas is an excellent movie but unfortunately the transfer to Blu Ray is not spectacular on this film. But hey, that's just my own opinion........

    For import games try ...

    videogameplus.ca ( Canada )
    dvdboxoffice.com ( Canada )
    ncsx.com ( US )
    tronixweb.com ( US )
movietyme.com ( US with UK distribution for games )
yes-asia.com ( Hong Kong ) ( Will Only Ship Japanese and Asian PS3 games )*

    * Some Japanese/Asian PS3 games do have full English language support and others that don't may still be import friendly.

For Region A Blu-ray movies ( Some But Not All Are Region Free )* ...

    playusa.com
    movietyme.com
    dvdworldusa.com
    dvdboxoffice.com
    dvdempire.com
    axelmusic.com

*Link to site with info on region free movies ...

Got my US BR Goodfellas from Movietyme.Disagree with earlier post about quality of film.Admittedly it does not show BR at its best(wait for films like LOTR,etc),the slight grain is intentional (Scorcese shot the picture this way)
This Movie is great and even better on Blu-Ray.

Most if not all PS3 games are region free for now.Just be sure to check websites listed as with the 360 it will only be a matter of time before companys start locking them.
Me personally,i am happy to buy US games although i tend to wait for the UK version if i am going to be playing it mostly online.

US games are cheaper... An extreme example is Spiderman 3 special edition... £55 here, £35 imported from the US/Canada.

Some games get released earlier some don't, it all depends on the games. It can be a matter of months, weeks or just a few days between releases. More importantly import games are usually cheaper then UK ones and as the PS3 is region free for games importing is not a problem. The only thing you have to watch out for is that on a lot of the games the online play is restricted to servers in the same region the game is from.

    Hi,

A place I get cheap Blu-ray from America is Amazon.co.uk. Its around £14-£16 plus £1.50 delivery i think per item.

Good Deal I think. Doesn't have the latest, but has quite a good selection.

¨All you need is the PS3 controller and a secret button during PS3 boot which will disable the disc protection. You can load any backup after this!! To enable the exploit press the following buttons at the same time on the PS3 controller after power on; L1, L2, R1, R2, SELECT, START, TRIANGLE, SQUARE, press and hold while rotating both the analog sticks clockwise slowly then tap X distinctively once. It takes a while to get a hang of it, but it is worth the effort. Please note that some buttons might be hard to reach at the same time so get a friend to help or use your feet to aid."
Since we don't have blue ray dvd writer.. Maybe people who has writer and test it and found out the truth¨

I found this article somewhere, looks like an April fool joke to me thought....
Haven't tried it myself. Dont think will either.. But let us know if someone has. :D

I don't see anywhere on Movietyme where it says the Blu-ray discs are region free - or am I being stupid and simply cross reference against the other list that has been posted?

Only some of them are region free and not all. You have to know which ones are. You can check here too for a list of those that are.

    http://bluray.lindsite.dk/

Generally all Fox and Diney/Buena Vista movies are region locked. Some Sony ones are and some are not. Most if not all of Warner and Paramount ones are region free. Movietyme is a US site and they won't neccessarily tell you which are region free and which aren't.

If you look on the right hand side there is an option called category click on that and scroll down until you come to blu-ray, there is a heading called Blu-ray EU PS3 Playback, these are the movies that will play on EU PS3's there is about 5 pages of movies so far.
