Great news for anyone who bought an Xbox 360 Arcade from Sainburys!

ARS has published an article detailing a Microsoft offer for a US$20 refurbished 20Gb HDD (or free 512Mb Memory card) for all Xbox 360 Arcade/Core owners. UK price is GBP£12.99, just enter your serial number on this Microsoft page and MS will ship the drive direct to you.


I don't own an Arcade 360, so I haven't been able to check the UK price. Can someone confirm the offer and post the price in GBP£?

If the 360 has connected to live and downloaded content over a certain size then it's flagged on their system.

It looks like they have the system 'abuse-proof'. Unless its a naked arcade console, ignore my previous post.

My lads Arcade qualified for a HDD, but it includes 3 months of Live. Price is £19.99. My timing is terrible, only last week did i buy a HDD from these forums for £20. Oh well.

UK offer:

Owners of the Xbox 360 Core System fall into three categories. Active Live members with no storage, or a 64MB memory unit, are offered a free 512MB memory unit or a 20GB HDD for GBP 12.99. Active Live members with a 256 or 512MB memory unit are offered just the HDD, again for GBP 12.99. If your console hasn't connected to Xbox Live within the last 12 months, and doesn't have a hard disk, however, you're offered a 20GB HDD and three months on Xbox Live for GBP 19.99.

Owners of the more recent Xbox 360 Arcade console fall into two categories. Xbox Live subscribers without an HDD get the 20GB HDD offer for GBP 12.99, while those without a hard disk who haven't been online for 12 months get the offer of hard disk and three months' access to Xbox Live for GBP 19.99.
