Urgent zoom lens advice needed

Im thinking of buying this lens for my girlfriend for xmas

Tamron 18-270mm f3.5-6.3 VC PZD Lens - Canon AF - 5611 - Jessops - Lenses

Works out at about £430 does it look like a good deal and is it a decent lens. Unfortunately I have little time to research this minefield. I know my gf wants a telephoto lens and ideally I didn't want to spend more than £300 but appreciate you get what you pay for and purchasing a cheap/cheaper lens may be a false economy.

Thats not a tele, thats a all in one. As far as all in ones go, its probably the best one available around your budget.

Yes should work out about £410 with a Tamron cashback and the TopCashBAck
