Can an owner of a Sharp LC37P50E do me a big favour. Can you go into the service menu and tell me what the default value of the COMBIAS setting is (its the 2nd option under CSLEVEL). To get into the service menu switch the TV off and using the buttons on the TV itself, press and hold the volume + button and programme - buttons and switch on the TV, release the volume and programme button when you see the menu appear. Switch off the TV to come out of the menu.

I think I may have inadvertantly changed this setting so finding out the default value would be very helpful, thanks.

    The COMBIAS Setting is 0870

Why are you in the service menu?

    Thanks mate.

I just wanted to use the inbuilt test patterns within the service menu but I accidentally scrolled through the combias option, whatever that is, and changed the setting which screwed up the picture.

Funny enough, and more luck than judgement I managed to set it to back to a setting which turned out to be, you've guessed it - 0870. This must be the optimum setting by all accounts.

    Anyway thanks again, much appreciated.
