I am about to put out an advert to sell a :

Sony MIDI SYSTEM
Which is one of those crappy all-in-one things with flashy lights.
Its includes the speakers that came with it. I has a tuner, amp,cd,tape & record player in it. it says it has 120wpc (even though my mates marantz 30wpc goes louder)
its about 3 years old, includes instuction manual, and is is perfect condition (everything works)

** How much do you think I can sell it for ?? **

(PS. it will be sold in my local newspapers, to some audio newbie that will see the flashing lights and be impressed)

How much did you pay for it originally? What colour? Silver stuff shifts really easily if you have a silver hifi. If your patient, you might be able to fetch £150 for it, but I dont know what you paid for it originally...

Obviously now is becoming a good time to sell, being christmas and all, and remember to embelish the truth a bit, ie say its superb and a bargain, yada yada, someone will fall for it.

Its black :(

I payed about £400 for it 3 years ago, and it sounds terrible, but it looks impressive. And it is in mint condition.

Im thinking £50-£70

I dont think I would even get £10 if i sell it on Ebay :D

take some nice pictures, tart it up well and aim it at some kid who wants a big power rating! You can surely get more if you sell on ebay!!!!

If I sell it on Ebay, it becomes complicated.

Each Speakers weighs about 10kg
The unit weights about 7kg

And i'll have to try to find some suitable packaging, which will be very hard due to the size. Possibly just buy some bubble wrapping.

So the buyer will have to play £££'s just for P+P

Alot of hassle, plus ive never accaulty sold on Ebay, so im not sure how many % they take.

its a shame i havent got a digital camara either :(
