Does anybody know if this is to be shown in W/S
Going by the TV Guide its not. So i presume it isn't, as the other films on tonight that will be in WS say they are. But this could all be Bull.
It was the choose of setting the video for Cinema Paradiso or the above. You were right it was in 4:3. Mind you Cinema Paradiso wasnt full 12:9 I think it was 1.66:1.
1.66:1 is the correct aspect ratio
Yes I looked it up on different shop sites thats where I got the 1.66:1 from. Thanks anyway, and how do you get into the technical stuff on IMDB?.
Oh they also have a DVD out in 1.75:1 (1.75?) probably a slight crop to fill the screen.
Ah, I misunderstood what you were saying then
When you're displaying a film's page, look at the yellow strip down the left hand side. Scroll down and one of the items is "Other info". It has the following:
box office & business
You may be interested to know that "Cinema Paradiso" is going to get a deluxe double-disc Special DVD Edition, sometime between mid-April and the end of May 2003 on Region 2. (Sorry I can't be more specific than that with the date.)
It will contain the original 2-hour cut that was on FilmFour, and the longer, and superior Director's Original Cut, which runs to 164 minutes. There should also be a fair amount of extras, including behind-the-scenes documentaries, cast/crew interviews, etc, etc.
Hope you find that of interest.
Cheer for the info Pooch
Funny I was looking at the different versions of Cinema Paradiso" and non of them where dubbed into English (not that I would use it) yet English versions of films seem to be dubbed into plenty of others.
