Hi,

I'm having trouble with matching the TV volume to the sound system speakers.. Sony Bravia LED and a sony home theatre system....

Setting the TV volume at say 50 the sound system speakers are at 25...

I have searched through all the manuals to no avail quick help needed please!

Thanks :(:):(

There should be settings in the TV's setup menus to disable the TV's own internal speakers when using an AV system.

You don't want to be using the telly's speakers at all.
Just turn the volume on the telly full down (not mute) and leave it there.
The setting should be remembered everytime you turn the telly on.

Thanks mate but when i turn the TV volume down the sound system volume also mutes due to sound being passed through HDMI cables im assuming?

Ah yes, that'll be Sony's link system.

As William says, there will be a setting that turns it off.

What's the telly and surround system?

sony bravia kld-40ex703 - sound system - RM AAU060

I can turn this link system off but, I just want to be able to change the difference in volume between the two if you get me

I've just found this;

Pressing THEATER on the remote control turns on and searches for an external audio system that supports BRAVIA Sync. When the BRAVIA Sync audio system is on, the internal speakers of the TV will turn off and the Picture Mode will change automatically to Cinema.

These are the best settings for surround. Not sure if that answers your question though.

Here's the relevant page;

Using Features - Using BRAVIA Sync with Control for HDMI

You shouldn't be using the telly's speakers with a surround system.

Any interaction between TV volume and Surround Sound volume is being caused by Bravia Sync. You cannot use both simultaneously. You are meant to use either the suround sound system or TV speakers.

RM AAU060 is the remote not the Sony Surround Sound model no.
