I have a Samsung 29" TV set. I did a mistake and went to the service menu, just to see whats inside. And unfortunately I hit the Xray option there.
Suddenly the TV went to stanby mode. Now every time I press the power botton on remote, the TV goes on and as soon as I see the picture it goes off again.
Please if some one can help me, my wife will kill me :(

I think you will find Xray is protected mode - not sure why you would be able to 'set it' from the service menu, you can usually turn it off ... all I can find is that unplugging the set, holding down the power button whilst plugging the set back in resets some Samsung sets.

I tried this right now. no chance. When I do this the power LED at front pannel blinks several times then set goes in off mode.

I had a suggestion from one friend to replace the eeprom ic....hmmm.
