I need to know the dimensions of the box in which this TV is packed.

Note: just uncovered the 36ZP48 box size so can guesstimate, but would still like someone to measure the 32ZP48/46 for me.

I'm trying to arrange pickup from a London-based company this week but they won't release the item unless it is transported in its box. This is because they don't want anything to shake loose in transport. These guys work on such small margins that a return would bust their profit. So I need to know if it will fit in our hatchback. Going on the dimensions of the TV it is going to be tight. We have a hatch restriction of 65cms (high) so the shortest edge of the box must be no greater than this.

Hopefully there is a diligent owner out there that hasn't binned their box.

    Thanks :)

I have, but they need to go to their warehouse and measure it up. That will take a day or two. And it never hurts to have a second opinion in case their measurement isn't accurate. It's going to be close.

Just noticed that it was in an old thread on this forum

    Old Thread

Our hatch is 4cms too small - bum!

NO!! Hold on... that's the 36ZP48! We might have success after all!!

If the 32" box is smaller in the same proportion as the TV, then the box should measure: 65 x 68 x 89 cms, which will just squeeze in. Cross fingers.

But well worth it when unpacked and set-up

    Thanks Sparks :)

If you could please Neiliboy. According to Sparks my hatch is going to be half an inch too small. Ug. Maybe newer boxes are a bit smaller [clutching at straws].

The retailer just got back to me with dimensions of 65 x 66 x 91. Now we're only talking a couple of centimeters here, but that makes all the difference.

If the shortest edge of the box is 65 cms it will fit in my car :smashin:, if it is 67 cms it won't :thumbsdow — simple as that.

If it won't fit, then yes, that's what I'll have to do. But if I can avoid putting them to the trouble then all the better. :)

Call me a cheapskate, but £60 delivery is a bit steep when they are only 20 miles away. I'm getting the TV for £500, but an additional £60 and I might as well walk down the end of our street and by one from Currys for £600.

Well I decided to use my cousin's new MPV to pick up the TV and it's a good job I did. Sparks was spot-on with his measurement of the box (thanks again Sparks). The measurement the retailer gave me was under by 2cm and that would have left me on the pavement with a big box.

If you want to buy a Tosh 32ZP46 for £500 then try Entertainment Xclusive on eBay:

    Entertainment Xclusive

Their "Buy Now" price is £560 excluding the £59 delivery charge, but if you approach them directly and circumvent their eBay expenses they should accept £500. They allowed me to pick up as a concession, but they are not really set up for this (in the near future perhaps). You'll have to ask.

They are based in London right on the North Circular (North Finchley).

I thought a monkey for this TV + stand was good value.

The guy running the show (Daran) seemed very polite and intelligent.

Oh, and the TV works great!
