Upset with local paper

    asked me for some pictures for an article, couldnt afford to pay me so i asked for my name beside the print

    spot whats missing people...

    what makes it worse is it was my friends article, whos the editor of the paper

    i expect a full apology and a 9 page full colour spread of my work in the next issue, it aint gonna happen really is it!

    I would of thought that a newspaper that relies on pictures for articles would be well aware of the importance of crediting the photographer,..sounds like a local freepaper.
    I'd be livid!!

    So.......the photographs are your copyright. You agreed, in a verbal contract, to give reproduction rights to the paper in consideration for their agreeing to credit you, the photographer. They have failed to deliver their part of the verbal contract. So, if you feel nasty, get nasty.

    Depends on how much of a mate he his - but as LV426 says - you actually have a legal right to some form of recourse (is that the right word)
