When setting up a PJ for the first time do most people buy a UPS? I am moving into a village that does sometimes suffer from power cuts. I assume this could give me problems with the lamp blowing?
Do most people have a UPS or does everyone generally 'risk it'?

    Thanks

    Mark.

If you are moving to an area with an unreliable mains supply, I think that a UPS would be a good idea. Turning off a projector by the mains stops the fan cooling the bulb after switch off and if done regularly could well shorten the life of the bulb.
