Has anyone used one of the APC UPS usually used for Servers etc as power cleaners?
    Would they work?
    Just a thought.

    yes they would, i paid £60 for a 650AV UPS from ebuyer.co.uk
and it does exactly that. below 180v or over 240v and it takes
care of it. Can supply 600w for about 6 mins if you pull the mains plug.
    Removes spikes.
My one is on bypass until needed, but you can buy them totally independent
from the mains, always working from the batteries (cost a little bit more tho)
